On 20 and 21 March 2014, Tjakko de Boer of ITegrity presented at two conferences on "Consumer Credit Registration in the Dutch Caribbean", held at the Marriott Hotel in Aruba and at the Central Bank of Curaçao. At the conferences, organized by the Caribbean Credit Bureau, six speakers addressed the legal, technical and administrative aspects of consumer credit registration. Topics included privacy legislation, privacy protection, privacy audit and governance. Tjakko de Boer addressed the latest auditing standards and how these standards assist with the security and privacy governance for modern, "cloud"-based credit information systems. The conferences were attended by over a hundred representatives from local financial institutions, regulators, lawyers, utilities and (lending) retailers.
